4 STEPS TO RISING ABOVE FAILURE
Failure is perceived as a pledge that should be avoided, an endless source of fear and worry that limits the desire to challenge boundaries in every phase of life. But the truth is no great deed was ever achieved without a test in the crucible of failure. From Thomas Edison’s light bulb to space X’s current desire to conquer the stars, we see a commitment to failing in a bid to experience the euphoria comes with triumph. Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly, Robert Kennedy. Ken Robinson also said “If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you will come up with anything Original.
Some however do not handle failure well, here are 4 steps for rising above failure;
- Accept your Failing:
The First step to resolving a problem is to accept you have one. There is a difference between giving up and giving In. Accept you have that weakness, accept you’re over weight, Accept you suck at Marketing, Accept you’re failing at it. Give in to the fact you’re doing it wrong, that way your prepared for what comes next.
2. Discover where/why you failed:
To avoid recurrence of Failure you need to ask yourself, where did I get it wrong? Was at the Planning stage, or research, Advertisement or Marketing or even Location? There are always clues at the Scene of a Crime or Accident. To determine why you’re failing, discover and identify what you’re failing at.
3. Decide and dedicate to growth:
You can become skilled and better at everything you decide and dedicate to. Want to be better at playing an instrument, decide and dedicate more time to it. You can become more, achieve more, as self-improvement begins with the willingness to make yourself better than your own expectation, only you can decide to push you beyond all boundaries.
4. Take Steps:
Take conscious and continuous steps in the right direction, do not leave it to chance. Want to get better at marketing? You have read books on marketing, you have a Mentor? You’d never know if you mastered it until you’re tested and excel at it. Theories sadly do not guarantee success in reality, Work it out.
We keep moving Forward
