The Marketing Concept is an effective way to increase sale and profits in any Business.

This is when you achieve cooperate goals by MEETING and EXCEEDING customer needs better than the Competition. 

Applying the marketing concept in reality has to do with knowing what your customer needs, fulfilling their needs and adding something extra into filling those needs. This will make and keep your customers happy, thus giving you competitive advantage over your competitors. 

The Key components of Marketing concept are:

Customer orientation.
Integrated effort.
Achieving goals.

All three components go hand in hand to create CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Every Business activity whether it is a Product or Service should focus on providing customer satisfaction. Why is customer satisfaction essential?  It is simple, if a customer is Happy with Services you rendered, they will always come back. For example you go to a saloon to braid or cut your hair, you had it done nicely and on top of that you were offered a cold drink. More likely than not, you will go back to that Saloon to have your hair done again. Why? Because they were able to  meet and exceeded your needs. 

Customer loyalty cannot be earned by Advertising or aggressive sale effort. The Marketing concept is how customer loyalty is earned. Customers are so satisfied that they come back and even refer you to friends and as most of us know word of mouth is one of the best form of Product and Service Promotion.

Integrated Effort: All staffs in an Organization take responsibility for creating customer satisfaction. 

Goal achievement: The belief that Cooperate goals can be achieved through customer satisfaction.

All activities of a company should be focused on meeting and exceeding customer needs. If you make your customer happy, they will grow your sale numbers, which pushes your Business in the right direction towards achieving its Cooperate goal. 

Advertising will grow your BRAND, no doubt but the marketing concept however will increase your SALES. So don't just produce and advertise your Product or Services, apply the Marketing concept as well to achieve your cooperate goals.
