For your start up to be profitable it has to fill a Need. Despite the awesomeness of your idea, there may not be any need for it. And people will not buy what they do not Need. There will however at any cost pay for what they NEED.
When thinking Start up, think Necessity.
Passion:
There are many fine reasons to start a company, to be your own boss, come out of poverty, to prove that girl/boy wrong, a good income, would likely sell for a high multiple, or...fill in the blank.
But if those don't include a passion for the product or service you are creating, then you'll run out of startup rocket fuel pretty quick.
Without passion, you'll not want to work late into the night. Without passion, the first obstacle you face will seem more like a mountain than a molehill. And, without passion, investors, customers, employees—everyone—will see that there's no reason to invest in your company, when you're not even doing so.
Passion is that burning desire that keeps you moving forward. Every successful business is built on the foundation of Passion. Passion gives you that internal drive towards success!
When thinking ideas, makes sure it's something your passionate about.
Money follows passion - not the other way around.
Stubborn determination: You need stubborn determination to ensure the success of your startup.. Stubborn determination doesn't mean betting the farm each and every time you face a challenge, but it does mean you make decisions with that same passion and conviction you felt when you first launched your company. It mean regardless of the odd, the challenges you press on with the same passion on why you started that business and what you aim to achieve from it.
